About Corporate Crime Files

A multi-channel daily YouTube documentary platform. Two channels currently running: Corporate Crime Files exposes the biggest corporate frauds, financial crimes, and billion-dollar scandals in history; Economic Case Files explains macroeconomic forces — inflation, recessions, monetary policy, hyperinflation — through documented historical events. One new full-length video per channel per day.

Daily Pipeline

1
Script (8-12 min)
AI writes a punchy documentary script with pattern-interrupt hooks, micro-hooks every 30-45 seconds, and a daily outro teasing tomorrow's video. 1,500-1,800 words, educational tone.
2
Narrate
OpenAI TTS-1-HD with consistent "onyx" voice across all videos. Whisper timestamps sync subtitles to every word.
3
Render (~30-60 scene images)
Each scene gets a custom AI-generated image in cinematic style — matched to the narration. Per-story image cache means re-renders are free.
4
2 YouTube Shorts
Auto-generated from each full video — 2 standalone 40-50 second clips covering the most viral hooks. Each ends with "Full story on our channel." Capped at 2 per video to fit the YouTube API daily quota until quota extension is approved.
5
Manual Review & Schedule
Every rendered video lands in pending review for the operator to watch. Click Schedule for Publish to upload as private with a publishAt time on the next available day. Auto-generated thumbnail with topic + key stat. SEO-optimized title and description.

Revenue Strategy

8-12 min videos — 1-2 mid-roll ads per video, targeting $10-18 RPM
2 Shorts per video — drive discovery and funnel viewers to full-length content
Daily uploads per channel — consistent publishing for algorithm growth across both channels
Teaser chain — every video teases the next to drive daily retention
Target audience — 25-55 professionals interested in economics/finance (premium advertisers)

Cost Per Video

Scene images (~30-60 per full video): ~$0.30-0.50
TTS narration: ~$0.30-0.40
Script + scene decomposition (GPT-4.1-mini): ~$0.05
Whisper transcription: ~$0.005
2 Shorts (script split + render): ~$0.10-0.15
Thumbnail: ~$0.01
Total per video: ~$0.75-1.10 (full video + 2 shorts + thumbnail)

Daily Publish Schedule (US Audience)

Each channel publishes 3 videos per day on a fixed schedule keyed to US Eastern time, optimized for US daytime engagement. Channels stagger by 15 minutes (formula: (display_order − 1) × 15 min) so they don't all release on the same minute and dilute each other in the YouTube algorithm cohort.

Channel Short 1 Short 2 Full Video
Corporate Crime Files
display_order=1, +0 min
9:00 AM ET 1:00 PM ET 5:00 PM ET
Economic Case Files
display_order=2, +15 min
9:15 AM ET 1:15 PM ET 5:15 PM ET
Channel #3 (future)
display_order=3, +30 min
9:30 AM ET 1:30 PM ET 5:30 PM ET
Channel #4 (future)
display_order=4, +45 min
9:45 AM ET 1:45 PM ET 5:45 PM ET

Vietnam-time conversions for the operator (assumes US Eastern Daylight Time, +11h offset):

ET slot CCF Vietnam ECF Vietnam
Short 1 (9:00 AM ET)8:00 PM same day8:15 PM same day
Short 2 (1:00 PM ET)12:00 AM next day12:15 AM next day
Full Video (5:00 PM ET)4:00 AM next day4:15 AM next day

During US Standard Time (Nov–Mar) the Vietnam-time column shifts forward by 1 hour because the ET–ICT offset becomes 12 hours instead of 11.

YouTube API Daily Quota

YouTube Data API gives every project 10,000 quota units per day. Each video upload costs 1,600 units, so the hard ceiling is ~6 uploads per channel per day. The app caps at 6/day per channel to prevent silent quotaExceeded errors. The current "1 full + 2 shorts" config uses 4,800 units (3 uploads) per channel — well under the cap with headroom for the second daily render. Quota resets at midnight US/Pacific (14:00 Vietnam time).

Script Structure

Every script follows a proven documentary arc with micro-hooks every 30-45 seconds:

1. Hook — Pattern interrupt + stakes in the first 10 seconds
2. Quick Context — Background and why it matters
3. How It Works — The main event, longest section
4. Real-World Impact — Who was affected and how
5. The Bigger Picture — Global implications and lessons
6. What It Means for You — Personal finance takeaways
7. Takeaways — 2-3 sentence wrap-up with practical lessons
8. Like & Subscribe CTA + Teaser — Narration line teasing the next day's topic, pulled from the channel's content calendar (with a pipeline fallback if the topic isn't in the calendar)

The narrator is told to vary closing language across videos so stock documentary phrases like "cautionary tale" don't repeat on every release.
